Personalised Yeti Products

Insulated drinkware is the single most crowded category in corporate gifting, which makes the choice of reference decisive. Our personalised Yeti products stand apart from that crowd, and a branded Yeti tumbler is recognised by its weight before it is even filled. What remains is the family, the capacity and the marking method.

FAQ - Personalised Yeti products

Trusted by 1,000+ companies

Standing out in the most crowded gifting category

No family of promotional goods is as saturated as insulated drinkware. It appears in every catalogue, at every price point imaginable.

The obstacle sits with the recipient. They already own one or two, they compare instantly, and an unremarkable model joins the queue of those waiting at the back of a cupboard.

A reference that is recognised without hesitation defuses that comparison. It takes its place on its own, with nobody needing to argue for it.

The gap shows up over time. A vessel of this calibre follows its owner for years, where an ordinary model drops out of daily use within weeks.

One secondary benefit deserves a mention, less visible than thermal performance. A reusable vessel replaces dozens of disposable cups across a year, which gives this kind of handout an operational justification alongside its relational one. Our branded water bottles set out the formats available for equipping a whole team.

Three Yeti families to personalise, three purposes

The maker's catalogue divides into three clearly separated groups, and confusing their purposes at the ordering stage almost always produces an item that does not suit the intended use.

The first handles drinks: tumblers, stackable mugs and bottles, all built on the same insulating principle.

The second gathers the hard-bodied coolers, made to hold cold. The third covers the soft coolers, which give up part of that holding power to carry less weight.

Each group brings its own trade-offs, and the sections below start with the one businesses hand out most often.

Food-grade 18/8 steel and vacuum insulation

The drinkware is formed from food-grade 18/8 stainless steel, a designation that reflects the proportions of chromium and nickel in the alloy.

No insulating material is involved in the principle. The vacuum held between the two walls does the work: with the air removed, heat no longer travels by contact or by fluid movement.

The second stated property follows directly from the first, namely that the outer wall stays dry when the contents are cold, with no condensation forming.

The detail looks minor on a spec sheet and turns out to matter daily. Nothing wets the paper underneath, nothing slips in the palm, no coaster to hunt for before setting the vessel down.

Our branded travel mugs bring together the nearby formats available for a large handout.

The capacities offered in tumblers and mugs

The maker's own documentation quotes capacities in ounces, which means converting them is the first task before settling on a format.

The twenty-ounce tumbler comes to roughly five hundred and ninety millilitres. It stands about seventeen and a half centimetres tall, with a lip close to nine centimetres across.

Those figures call for a check that is almost always skipped: some cup holders will not take it, which matters if the handout is aimed at people who spend their days driving.

The fourteen-ounce stackable mug works out at around four hundred and ten millilitres. Its ability to stack genuinely counts in a shared kitchen where storage space is contested.

Favour a capacity slightly below habit rather than an oversized one, since a half-filled vessel loses part of its insulating benefit.

One last practical note: check the base diameter alongside the height, since a wide base is what actually blocks a cup holder. Our promotional drinkware with logo widen the choice.

Splash resistant does not mean leakproof

This section carries the most useful point on the page, and leaving it out is the leading cause of disappointment after a handout.

The magnetic lid fitted to the tumblers is stated to be splash resistant. It holds back what movement throws up, which covers a car journey or a walk between two offices.

It is not stated to be leakproof, and the difference is easily verified. Laid flat in a bag, a tumbler empties itself over whatever it is travelling with.

The caps fitted to the bottles in the range belong to a different category: those are stated leakproof, which makes them the only sound choice once the vessel travels on its side.

That distinction belongs in the note accompanying the handout, alongside the capacity and the care instruction.

A few minutes on its side, filled with water, settles any doubt. Our branded flasks with logo cover the corresponding bottle formats.

The colour finish and how it survives handling

The coloured versions carry a name of their own, and the maker puts forward a finish that does not chip and does not peel.

The claim earns its place on an object picked up and put down several times a day. A colour that flakes away after six months damages the item and the reputation of whoever gave it in equal measure.

That finish bears directly on personalisation, because laser engraving works on bare steel as readily as on a coloured surface.

The visual result changes with the background, though. On a coloured version the beam exposes the steel beneath and produces a sharp contrast, usually more legible than on an uncoated vessel.

Colour therefore stops being a matter of taste alone: it partly determines how readable your identity will be once engraved.

Laser engraving and its single-tone result

On this family the method settles itself. The maker states a permanent finish that neither cracks nor peels over time.

The mechanism has nothing in common with printing. No layer is laid on the surface: the beam acts on the metal itself, which explains a durability unrelated to a coat of ink.

The constraint sits on the colour side. The method reproduces no multi-colour palette and delivers a single contrast, whose tone depends entirely on the background worked.

Prepare a stripped-back version of your identity, reduced to a shape that stays legible in one tone, which sometimes means reworking the artwork before production begins.

Ask for an engraved sample before the run as well. A laser on metal cannot be judged from a screen, and that check spares you a poor result across several hundred pieces.

How the hard-bodied coolers are built

This family pursues an aim the others do not share: holding a low temperature through a journey, with no power supply of any kind.

The body comes from rotomoulding, a method that yields a piece formed in one go without joins, stated to resist ultraviolet light, impact and abrasion.

The walls are thick and take insulation pressure-injected into them, filling the whole available volume without leaving an air pocket that would form a thermal bridge.

The lid carries a dedicated latching system and a gasket running around its edge. Those two parts govern real behaviour far more than any quoted wall thickness.

We also make no claim to any particular certification on these references without having checked it model by model, since a property stated across a range never extends automatically to the whole catalogue. Our printed mugs with logo point in another direction when an individual vessel is what is needed.

Why no cold retention figure is quoted here

The question comes up on every enquiry, and answering it with a number would be a sales argument rather than a fact. Duration depends on variables outside the maker's control.

Fill level comes first. A half-empty cooler holds air that warms up, whereas a densely packed load behaves quite differently.

Pre-chilling then overturns the result entirely. A cooler left in the sun before loading spends its ice bringing its own walls down to temperature first.

Add to that the ratio of ice to contents, the ambient temperature of the day, and how many times the lid is lifted over the course of it.

We therefore treat this family in qualitative terms. Construction of this kind holds up better than an entry-level model, but an isolated figure proves nothing without the protocol behind it.

Soft coolers and the weight they save

The third family rests on an openly stated trade-off, better set out before ordering than discovered in the field.

Its flexible shell is stated to resist puncture, and its insulation relies on a dedicated foam rather than on pressure injection.

The closure varies by series: a waterproof zip on some, a magnetic system stated to be leak resistant on others.

The trade-off is plain. These models hold cold for less time than the hard-bodied versions, in exchange for markedly lower weight and bulk.

On a corporate handout the balance often tips this way: a cooler that actually gets taken along beats a high-performing one left in the garage. Our promotional cool bags cover that register.

Which Yeti vessel suits which working pattern

The decision turns on the question of travel, never on the insulating performance put forward in the documentation.

At a desk that does not move, the tumbler or the mug do the job without reservation. They stay put, leakproofing never becomes an issue, and capacity follows the person's own habits.

As soon as someone is on the move, the bottle becomes the only defensible choice, since it is the one whose cap is stated leakproof.

At a collective moment, an away day, a tournament or a team event, the cooler changes status: it stops being an individual gift and becomes a piece of logistics everyone can see.

There is a British angle worth adding here too. Where handouts increasingly travel by post to home addresses, the weight of an insulated steel vessel affects postage in a way a lighter item does not, which belongs in the budget from the outset.

Ask about the usual drink before fixing the capacity. Our branded corporate gifts gather what suits those collective occasions.

Building a coherent kit around the vessel

An insulated vessel works perfectly well on its own, but it gains reach as soon as the budget per person allows a second item.

The most natural pairing brings a bottle for journeys together with a mug for the desk. The two cover separate moments without ever competing.

On a collective handout, the cooler takes the role of shared item while the individual vessels go to each person, which spreads the budget sensibly.

A food container rounds the set out well for a kit aimed at the lunch break. Our promotional lunch boxes set out the formats available in that register.

Two or three coherent items land better than a broad assortment, which spreads attention thin without strengthening anything.

Keep the set short and time the handout to the season of use: a hot vessel at the start of winter, a cooler in spring, and the item earns its place within days.

The limits of a branded Yeti vessel

Three reservations are better set out before the decision than discovered when the boxes arrive.

The first is unit cost. This price bracket leaves the territory of the ordinary promotional item and narrows the number of people you can realistically equip.

The second concerns the single-tone marking covered above. An identity built on colour loses part of its force once engraved into metal.

The third is weight and bulk. An insulated steel vessel weighs noticeably more than a single-wall one of the same capacity.

A fourth reservation belongs here: dishwasher use is not guaranteed across every reference and needs checking before any promise. Our unusual corporate gifts open other routes for a wider handout.

Tax treatment of a branded vessel in the United Kingdom

HMRC guidance at BIM45065 allows a business gift to be deducted where its cost does not exceed fifty pounds per recipient across a twelve-month period.

Two further conditions apply. The item must carry a conspicuous advertisement for the business, and it must not be food, drink, tobacco or a voucher exchangeable for goods.

A vessel is not itself food or drink, so it falls outside that exclusion. The advertising condition is met through the engraving, provided the mark is genuinely visible rather than hidden underneath.

The fifty-pound threshold is the decisive point on this family, because depending on the reference chosen it will either be respected or exceeded, which changes the treatment entirely.

On VAT, output tax becomes due once gifts to the same person pass fifty pounds over twelve months. Where recipients are employees, the trivial benefits rules apply instead. Confirm your position with your accountant.
